Workers for a local strawberry grower took to the road in protest Monday over wages and other complaints.
Hundreds of workers from Santa Rosa Berry Farms made their way down Rice Avenue about mid-morning from one of the farm's sites along Highway 118 to another off of Wooley Road in Oxnard. Some carried flags with the red background and black eagle of the United Farm Workers of America, even though the workers are not represented by the union.
