Cardinal Mahoney talked about the heat victim and stressed the need for a solution. Joining him was Cynthia Herrera, niece of farm worker Jorge Herrera who died on July 31 due to heat exposure, who appealed to the crowd to help make sure other farm worker families do not have to go through the pain of losing a loved one like her family did.
