Perigrino Blog, Day 3
We arrived yesterday at Thornton at around 5:45. We were welcomed by dozens and dozens of supporters. Folks even had a big sign welcome to Thornton.
It was amazing. The whole community pitched in. There was food, cold drinks and even a band to greet us peregrinos. There was a ton of folks who opened up their homes to house all of the walkers.
This morning there was a mass before we left held by Bishop Steven Blair from Stockton where he blessed all of us and gave each of us a special cross.
As we left the church to march out of town we were greeted by hundreds of elementary school students who held homemade signs to support us.
