Opponents of comprehensive immigration reform, are now offering dozens of amendments to stall the bill and effectively stop the possibility of immigration reform for years to come.  "My preference is to stop it and start again...if it hurts the bill, I'm for it.", DeMint (R: S.C.) said, according to a Washington Post article.

A cloture vote to limit debate is not the same as an endorsement of the bill.  It is merely a vote to proceed with discussion, so that an up or down vote on the bill will be allowed at the end of 30 more hours of debate.

Please contact your senators NOW and urge them to vote yes on cloture for the immigration bill. The vote is scheduled at approximately 5:30 pm EST/2:30 pm  PST
