Lucila Lopez and her husband, Sabas Arredondo, put themselves on the line every day, talking with their fellow farmworkers about the benefits of unionizing. “We’re going to accomplish something great,” says Sabas. “Just by being with the United Farm Workers, we already accomplished that.”

Arnulfo De La Cruz from SEIU in Texas waves UFW authorization cards, while Ron Solano from UFCW, Local 770 in Los Angeles waves a UFW flag to encourage farmworkers to pull over and sign one.

Jesse Thomson-Burns from Sacramento and Irma Bautista from Los Angeles wave down farmworkers returning from the fields after a hard day's work. Over 300 workers joined UFW during Campo de Justicia's 2 hours of "taking it to the streets"!

My own parents are from the fields and are still working there. My mother and others are required to take the pans that they pack the grapes in home and wash them on their own time."
