Miriam has a 6 year old son who suffered birth defects and is now permanently disabled. She believes she was exposed to pesticides during her pregnancy while working in strawberry fields & she blames her son's birth defects on the chemicals. I oppose [methyl iodide] because I work in the fields. I’m opposed to it because it causes cancer. When people are pregnant their kids can come out with defects."
